Kristen is an LA-based drummer, percussionist, writer and educator. She has recorded and toured extensively with BØRNS, and has also worked with Scary Pockets, LPX, Trixie Mattell, Mike Taylor, Wilder Woods, Tigertown, morgxn, We Are King, Connor Bvrns, Sofia Mills, and others. In addition to developing the Groove Theory curriculum at Icon Collective and updating the online Arrangement curriculum, she has taught African Drumming at AMDA-LA, is a certified drum circle facilitator, and maintains an extensive private student roster. She is a contributing writer for Modern Drummer and Tom Tom Magazine, was featured in Modern Drummer in 2017, was nominated in the 2018 Modern Drummer Reader’s Poll, and her samples and loops are featured on Output's Arcade. She has a Drumset Performance degree from Berklee College of Music and recently earned her master's degree in World Percussion from California Institute of the Arts.
